We at Romford Branch are proud to be part of The Royal British Legion (Charity number 219279), the UK's leading charity providing financial, social and emotional support to millions who have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces, and their dependants.

Given how closely the Branch and Club Committees work together, it is all too easy to forget there are in fact two distinct organisations!  When you’ve read this page, don't forget to flick through the others to keep up to date with all the news.

The ‘Club Information’ page is regularly updated and features a dedicated e-mail link to ensure any queries go direct to the Club Committee for prompt attention.

         The e-mail link info@romfordrbl.org.uk is for the Branch Committee only!

The most important aspect of The Royal British Legion is Welfare with its own separate Committee.

The Secretary is George Dryburgh and he will be pleased to offer information and guidance to anyone who telephones him on 0208 822 1136 or 07956 214 403.

All requests for Welfare are treated in the strictest confidence, whether successful or not.

Assistance from the Welfare Committee is not conditional on ever having been a Member of
The Royal British Legion;
the Legion is here to help existing and former Service personnel (and their dependants) in need.

In addition to local assistance and advice, a major part of our Welfare work is to provide short and long term care for serving and ex-Service people and their dependants in the seven Care Homes and four Welfare Break Centres around the country.

The Care Homes are designed for
long-term nursing, residential, day and dementia care whilst the Welfare Break Centres focus on providing short-term breaks for those who may have had a period of illness or suffered bereavement.
